In the context of online examination platforms used by
educational instructors or institutions, the ability to include mathematical
formulas is quite important. The precise presentation of formulas in online
exams increases clarity and reduces ambiguity.
Integration of LaTeX within DoExam
LaTeX, a typesetting system known
for its ability to handle mathematical notation, offers exam organizers a strong
solution for accurately representing complex mathematical expressions.
DoExam seamlessly integrates
LaTeX functionality and incorporates the ability to insert formulas directly in
your desired field or within the exam upload file process. This allows users to
effortlessly incorporate mathematical expressions directly into their questions
or answers.
In all types of questions and their answers, you can
click the arrow icon next to your desired field and then click the sigma
sign (Σ) to open the Formula Modal.
1. Within the formula field, there is an example formula
that you can delete and then create your own formula. To do so through inline
math mode, you can use the required commands. For example: \dfrac{2}{3}\times\sqrt{2} will
be displayed as:
You can enter
mathematical expressions, symbols, and equations in this form.
2. Before finalizing your formula, you can preview it in
the inserted field to check for any formatting or syntax errors.
3. To finalize the process, click on Create in Library or Save Changes.
Note: You can add unlimited formulas to your desired
field(s).
Note: The formula feature supports the right-to-left
direction, making it easy to add and display formulas in your desired
direction.
Note: By uploading a file containing LaTeX-formatted
formulas DoExam can seamlessly generate and integrate these formulas into your
exam as you’re creating it.
Position your cursor on the formula you wish to edit
or remove. You can simply make changes to it or even remove it by just deleting
it from this field.
