How to Create Multiple Choice Questions in DoExam

Introduction

Multiple Choice questions are an assessment method in which participants must choose one or more correct answers from multiple options. One of the advantages of using multiple-choice questions is that they enable a precise and quick evaluation of the participant's knowledge and understanding.
Some features of Multiple Choice questions in DoExam include:
  1. Adding as many response options as desired.
  2. Designating at least one correct answer, or multiple options as correct answers for a question.

Creating Multiple Choice Question

1. Click on the Question Studio option from the side menu of the page.
2. Click on the plus icon at the bottom of the page.
3. Select the question mark icon (New Question) to go to the Interaction Type page.
4. On this page, choose the Multiple Choice question type among the various types of questions and follow the steps below:
  1. Question: Enter your desired question.
  2. Choice: Enter the choices to be shown to the user in this section.
  3. Add Choice: By clicking the Add Choice button, you can create as many choices as you like or delete them by clicking the trash can icon next to each one.
  4. Restraint Number: By toggling this option, you allow the participant to select more than one choice. To specify more than one answer, drag your mouse over the lever next to this option until the desired number appears. The number displayed represents the number of correct answers that can be selected. In this case, you must specify all correct choices by ticking them.
  5. Exclusive: By toggling this option, you allow only one choice to be selected as the correct answer by the participant. If another choice is selected, the current choice will be deactivated.
  6. Solution: In this section, enter the correct answer to the question to be shown to the participant after the exam.
  7. Difficulty Level - From the Test Organizer's Perspective: In this section, determine the difficulty level of the question from Very Easy to Very Hard.
  8. Parent Shelf: From this section's drop-down menu, select your desired shelf in order to add the question to it.
  9. Tags: Assign your desired tag(s) to the question.
  10. Create in Library: To complete the question creation process, click on this option.
Note: Entering the question, designating at least one choice as the correct answer, and assigning a tag are necessary steps.
Note: The arrow icon next to each field provides you with options to change text styles, such as bold or italic, and to add formulas and media.
